In wezen kan trauma worden gezien als de oorzaak van onze problemen. Elke dag worden we gebombardeerd met levenservaringen die ervoor zorgen dat we in de overlevingsmodus schieten en soms in de overlevingsmodus blijven. Deze constante stroom adrenaline houdt ons lichaam gestrest.
